The Friends of Tiverton Libraries will hold their 2018 Annual Book Sale, ETC on Saturday and Sunday, June 23-24 at the Tiverton Public Library on 34 Roosevelt Ave. Proceeds benefit valuable library programs in need of funding.
The Friends are requesting donations of clean and saleable books and DVDs for the sale. The collection period runs from Monday, May 21 through Wednesday, June 20. Requested materials may be dropped off in the collection bins at the Tiverton Public Library’s main entrance. Unfortunately we are not able to accept encyclopedias, text books, magazines or VHS/cassette tapes. Your support is greatly appreciated.
The Annual Book Sale, ETC is the Friends primary fundraiser. Library activities supported by the sale include the Summer Reading Programs for children, teens and adults and the Friends-sponsored library museum passes. In addition, your book donations support literacy and reading enjoyment and benefit the environment through recycling. Materials we cannot accept may be brought for reuse or recycling to Savers, 109 Mariano Bishop Blvd in Fall River or to the bins designated for books at the entrance to the Tiverton landfill.
The sale is free and open to the general public from 10am-3pm on Saturday June 23 and from noon to 3 pm on Sunday, June 24.
There will be a preview from 8am–10am for members of the Friends of Tiverton Libraries. Individuals may join at the door for $10, and families, for $15. Check future news listings for further details.
