Volunteen Orientation on Saturday, September 8th
We are holding a Teen Volunteer Orientation on September 8, 2012 from 2:30-3:30 in the Meeting Room. This orientation is for everyone who is interested in being a volunteer at the library. If you haven't filled out our application yet, stop by before the orientation. You can register by calling the library or by email: kpiasecka@tivertonlibrary.org.
*This orientation counts towards your volunteer hours if you choose to be a Volunteen*

1. Join VOLUNTEENS
VOLUNTEENS volunteer for 1-2 hours once or twice a week during the Fall, Winter, and Spring. During the summer, VOLUNTEENS assist with the summer reading program and can earn between 1-10 hours each week.

Fill out an application to become a VOLUNTEEN and a librarian would be happy to talk to you more about this opportunity. You can also pick up and fill out an application at the library.
2. Join the Essex Teen Council (ETC)
The ETC is for mature Teens (ages 14-18) who are looking for a long-term volunteer commitment. The ETC meets at the Essex Library fourth Saturday of the month from 3:30-4:30pm.
Our next meeting is on September 22nd from 3:30-4:00pm.
3. Join the Teen Blog Team (TBT)
The TBT's help the Teen Librarian write for the teen blog. As a TBT, you can share your book reviews, stories, poetry, art, and more with other teens.
4. Become a Tech Coach
Teen Tech Coaches help during the library's technology help session for adults on Friday afternoons. Adults who have questions about using computers and technology participate in a FREE session to help them improve their skills. If you would like to earn community service hours teaching adults, please contact Kasia.
