*The Tiverton Library Board of Trustees is proud to announce that the Tiverton Library Director, Catherine Damiani, has been elected by the Rhode Island Library Association as the Rhode Island Chapter Councilor for the American Library Association (ALA). She had previously served two terms as an ALA member at large from 2018-2024. Ms. Damiani has served as Director of the Tiverton Public Library since September 2018. She holds a Master of Library and Information Services (MLIS), a Master of Public Administration (MPA), and an HR certificat,e all from the University of Rhode Island. She served as Treasurer of the Ocean State Libraries Executive Board, Chair of the Ocean State Libraries ezone Sustainable Committee, and as Vice Chair of the Library Board of Rhode Island Standards Committee.
