Books Donated by Tiverton High School Class of 1982 in Memory of Librarian John Fitzgerald

Earlier this year, the Tiverton High School Class of 1982 presented the Friends of Tiverton Libraries with a donation to be used as a tribute to their classmate Tiverton Librarian John Fitzgerald who passed away in 2017. John was a constant presence at the Tiverton Essex and the new Tiverton Public Library, and his dedication and caring touched so many.

The Friends used the funds to purchase a collection of books reflecting John's personality and interests. Recently retired Librarian Prudence Fallon, who knew John well, selected books with a view to what John would have loved to share - subjects from Abraham Lincoln to true crime to local history and Rock and Roll.
The list of books is available Here.  A memorial bookplate was placed in each item designating the Tiverton High School Class of 1982 as the donor.

Beginning June 1, 2018, patrons will be able to hold or borrow any of these books. Don't forget that holds may be placed for items already in circulation, and with a library card, you can reserve books online using the library catalog at
