Looking for unique, affordable hand crafted gifts for the holidays? Then plan to shop at the Fall Craft Sale at the Tiverton Public Library on Saturday, October 28 from 10am-3pm. Admission is free.
Over 30 local crafters, artists and vendors will be on hand offering a wide variety of unique items. Check out antique quilts curated by Gloria White, Tiverton resident and owner of the former Rockport Antique Quilt store, now offering final inventory markdowns up to 50% off. Ask her about the quilt she sold for the movie One True Thing starring Meryl Streep. Get inspired by talking to any one of the vendors and buy something beautiful that helps fund the continued work of a local artist.
Don’t miss the raffles, including a chance to win items donated by the vendors. A special raffle features a prize of either half of the cash raised or a Native American hummingbird necklace made of intricately carved shells. Plan to grab breakfast or lunch at the Castaway Gourmet food truck or indulge in homemade cookies and beverages available indoors.
Among the locally-produced items offered are prints, photographs, cards, folk art, jewelry, clothing, outerwear, tote bags, backpacks, kitchen/table/bed linens, doll clothing, pet gifts, soaps, wine bottle holders, pouches, keychains, lanterns, sun catchers, pillows and more. Materials used include paint, ceramics, glass, leather, textiles, crystal, beads, plants, shells, rocks, pebbles and plants.
This event is being hosted by the Friends of Tiverton Libraries, who will be using all proceeds to fund library programming and museum passes. For questions about visiting the Craft Fair, call 401-924-0439. The Friends of Tiverton Libraries is a 501c3 organization whose mission is library support.
