Friends Annual Craft Sale

Our second craft sale was a great success. We had 34 vendors throughout the entire library this year which was exactly double of last year. A great diversity of products were represented from jewelry to hot/cold wraps, artwork made from items from nature, knit & crochet items, photography and soaps. We had vendors from as far away as Taunton, MA and nine local vendors from Tiverton. The sale was an excellent opportunity for shoppers to buy unique, even one-of-a-kind gifts. Unlike buying online, they had a chance to examine items closely, seeing the true size, weight and color that helps in judging whether the gift fits the one for whom it is intended. Among the locally-produced items offered were prints, photographs, cards, folk art, jewelry, clothing, outerwear, tote bags, backpacks, kitchen/table/bed linens, doll clothing, pet gifts, soaps, wine bottle holders, pouches, keychains, lanterns, sun catchers, pillows and more. Materials used included paint, ceramics, glass, leather, textiles, crystal, beads, plants, shells, rocks, pebbles and plants.

Castaway Gourmet food truck was out front during the event, and that proved very popular, with breakfast sandwiches and delicious lunch options. Everyone who used the food truck LOVED it.

Approximately 25 items donated by the vendors were raffled off, including framed pictures, jewelry, note cards, ornaments, and many other unique pieces of art. A beautiful Native American inspired hummingbird necklace was won by a shopper during the 50/50 raffle an the second place winner received $50 in cash.
