Traveling Exhibit: Why It Matters The Tiverton Public Library is hosting a traveling exhibit from the RI Secretary of State’s Office, called “Why It Matters.” This exhibit traces the fight for womens’ suffrage in Rhode Island and celebrates the accomplishments of the first female legislators in Rhode island: Isabelle Ahearn O’Neill and Lulu Mowry Schlesinger. The panels feature images and documents from the State Archives and the Rhode Island Historical Society. This exhibit will be available to view in the Library lobby through February.
